3. Begin at the bead beside the guru bead. Rest your thumb on the first bead.
4. With each breath or each repetition of Om Shanti Shanti Shanti, roll one bead toward you with your thumb.
5. Let the mantra settle the mind. When thoughts drift, gently return to the bead and the sound.
6. Continue until you reach the guru bead again — one full round of 108.
